I’m in the process of transferring pertinent posts from my old blogs Confessional Presbyterianism and Baptist Identity, although I probably won’t be transferring the comments. There weren’t that many comments anyway, in part due to my lack of focus on blogging in the past.
Over the past 3-4 years, my online efforts were largely focused on things like participating on the PuritanBoard and other similar groups. The Baptist Identity blog title was somewhat ill chosen given current controversies, and I never clarified it on the blog. At the time that I created the name, I had recently come out of Presbyterianism after having come to baptistic convictions. The name had more to do with my identity as a Baptist (am I going to be a Baptist, or simply baptistic) and exploring Baptist history and theology than it did with identifying with any particular movement. In that sense it was a continuation of my Old School Presbyterian blog, but simply from a Baptist perspective. With this new blog I can still do those things, and it won’t be so narrowly focused on ecclesiology as the other two were.
UPDATE: I transferred pertinent comments as well, since WP gives blog administrators the power to make doing that look legit. :)
